Northeastern. Together WE can!
Welcome to Northeastern Elementary!
Every Student. Ever Teacher. Every Day.
Northeastern is a fantastic school! Our staff is committed to making each child successful academically, socially and emotionally. We have high expectations for our staff and students. All staff are trained in Positive Behavior Interventions/Supports along with research-based Literacy practices. We want ALL students to be successful readers! Our PTO is very involved and we encourage volunteers to help in the building. Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like a tour of the building. Parents: Student Safety and Security
Our top priority is the safety and security of your child. One thing we have to do is background checks on all adults that want to volunteer, be a chaperone, or attend school activities. I know it can be an inconvenience, especially when it comes to field trips, and I am sorry about that. However, teachers do a great job of letting parents know when they need to sign up to be a chaperone. Please be aware, this allows the school enough time to send in the information to conduct a background check and get it returned by the field trip. We don’t send those slips in until chaperones have signed up, because often months can go by and we want the background check to be as up to date as possible.
If you are unsure of the date you need to sign up to be a chaperone, read the class newsletter or contact the teacher directly. They will be glad to let you know. This also gives teachers time to make groups for the field trips, inform chaperones of times, activities, and expectations for the trip so everything goes smoothly. I appreciate your understanding in this.
