What an exciting time of year for you and your First Grader! The beginning of the school year means new faces and friends. I am happy to be among them. I will be your child’s first grade teacher.
I will try to keep you informed on special events but your best source of information is your own child. Your interest in what we are doing is the greatest motivation of all. The following is a list of items that will help your child off to a great start:
A Backpack or Totebag - Please make sure it is small enough to fit in your child's locker and does NOT have wheels.
3 Boxes of Tissues - To be shared throughout the year.
Plastic Toolbox - Large enough to store pencils, scissors, crayons, markers, etc.
1 Container of Disinfecting Wipes OR a bottle of hand sanitizer - To help keep hands, desks ,and headphones germ free.
Folder - For notes to travel back and forth to school.
Additional supplies are most welcome - If you would like to donate Ticonderoga brand pencils, a ream of bright cardstock, a bag of bubble gum, or a bag of individually wrapped candy...please feel free to do so. Thank you!
Recommended: A water bottle to keep brains hydrated!
Dry erase boards and dry erase markers, construction paper, paint, scissors, rulers, glue, and a small chalkboard and chalk are just a few of the many items the school or I will provide.
Thank you in advance for your help in preparing your child for a wonderful year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me. The best way to reach me is through my email address or at Central (948-4423) once school begins. I can usually be reached from 3:25 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. via phone. I am looking forward to working with you and your family.
