Ski Club: Need something to do on Friday evenings through the snowy months of January and February? Try joining ski club! Registration packets are available in the office.
Student Council: Schedule change - There will be a student council meeting during Advisory today on NOVEMBER 15th. Please plan to check in with your advisory teacher and then report to room C-213 (Mrs. Goggins' room) in the 8th grade wing. You must have your paperwork turned in to attend the meeting. If you need another copy, see Mrs. Goggins.
FFA students interested in running for an officer position needs to get their candidate form in by today, Friday, November 15th !!!
There will be an FFA meeting during 7th hour in the CHOIR ROOM, Tuesday, November 19th , from 2:30-2:55pm. We will be going over Leadership Contest, upcoming events, and go over Middle School Chapter Officers. Don’t forget to bring something to write with. Please check in
with your 7th hour teacher first before heading down to the meeting. Hope to see you there!!

Club Soccer: Hey Lady Saxons, Hastings FC Needs you to play on one of our select club soccer teams. We have a generous donor that will pay for 1/2 the player fees leaving a cost of only $125 a player for the spring 2020 season which includes a uniform! The deadline to register is November 20, please email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or are interested in playing.
Free Concert: There’s no place like home for the holidays, so West Michigan’s largest performing arts organization is coming to Hastings!
Come Home for the Holidays with the Grand Rapids Symphony and celebrate an old-fashioned Christmas in the brand-new Hastings Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 20.
Best of all, it’s a FREE CONCERT, thanks to the Douglas A. and Margaret E. DeCamp Foundation.
Associate Conductor John Varineau leads the Grand Rapids Pops in such seasonal favorites as Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride, a Christmas carol sing-along, and a medley of music from such classic Christmas films as Home Alone, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street and The Polar Express.
Tickets are FREE, but they must be reserved in advance. Call the Performing Arts Center (269-818-2492) to reserve your tickets today! This event will sell out! Walk ups are welcome as long as seats are available. This concert is required for HS band students to attend and MS band students are strongly encouraged to attend. Concert flyer
Turkey Trot: You must register online before November 21 to Wobble before you Gobble at the Turkey Trot 5k run/walk on November 28, 2019. More information: Turkey Trot
Turkey Lunch: The Turkey luncheon will be November 21st at lunch time. The cost is $4.50 per adult and a regular lunch charge for the students. We will not be offering any other options on this day unless a child has an allergy.
The menu will be:
Turkey in gravy
dinner roll with butter
apple crisp with vanilla ice cream
Yearbooks: Yearbooks are on sale now!! Yearbooks are available for $20.00. Personalized with Your name on the cover is only $23.00. You may order by visiting: www.inter-state.com/yearbook and entering code: 43655H. You can also return the yearbook envelope that was sent home with students with check, cash or money order. You may return these to your advisory teacher or to the office. Ordering is available until April 1. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Birman.

Family Fare Receipts: Save your receipts! If each student brought in receipts from Family Fare totalling $250, we would be at our goal of $150,000 in Family Fare receipts! If we turn in $150,000 in Family Fare receipts HMS will get a check for $1000! Right now we are near $80,000. We want your Family Fare Receipts!
