HEEF

What We Are?

The Hastings Education Enrichment Foundation (HEEF), an affiliate of the Barry Community Foundation, was incorporated as an independent non-profit organization in 1985.

Our purpose is to supplement the Hastings Area School System with enrichment opportunities not available through existing funding.

The intent of HEEF is to support the margin of excellence, allowing our schools to take greater advantage of educational resources and activities for our students.

How We Work?

We raise funds in order to award classroom grants through charitable donations from residents, the business community and Foundations.

Since 1985, Hastings Education Enrichment Foundation (HEEF) has spent well over $200,000 on enrichment programs and activities for our students. Over $480,000 in scholarship assistance has been given to Hastings High School graduates for post secondary learning opportunities. HEEF provides additional support for 40 to 50 activities a year ranging from kindergarten through high school.
