MANDATORY SENIOR MEETING
The last required Senior Meeting is Tuesday, May 12, at 2:00 PM in the HPAC. We will be reviewing final details for graduation, including due bills, and distributing honors cords. This meeting is for senior students only (and includes both virtual and in-person seniors). We look forward to seeing you there! (5/12)
REMINDERS
PARENT ADVISORY MEETING
Please join us for a Parent Advisory Meeting on Wednesday, May 13 from 6:00–7:00 PM at Hastings High School. Topics will include academic advancement opportunities (Dual Enrollment, AP, Early Middle College, CTE), scheduling, counseling resources, online learning options, and ways for parents to get and stay involved. SENIOR INFORMATION
CAPS FOR DECISION DAY
Caps for Decision Day are now available for purchase! If you would like to decorate your cap for Decision Day to highlight your future plans, they are available for purchase from Mrs. Maurer! This is completely optional and is not a requirement.
Please note that decorated caps are permitted for Decision Day only. Plain caps must be worn during Graduation to participate in the ceremony.
Caps are $10 each and will be sold until May 7th. There is a limited number of caps available, if this is something you would like to do, be sure to purchase yours early to secure one! (5/7)
PROM
Hey Juniors and Seniors did you hear the news? There will be awesome food at Prom Saturday night! Think chocolate fountains, desserts and charcuterie boards. Oh, and wait...did you hear about the photo booth with free prints for everyone...Get your tickets by 3:30 Friday as they will not be sold at the door and you don’t want to miss this evening of fun. Be sure to get your guest passes for your dates if they are not HHS students. Tickets are only $35 each!

LINK LEADER APPLICATIONS
Attention 10th and 11th graders! Think about the kind of school you want to be part of. Your school becomes what you make it. Link Crew Leader applications are now open! Check your school email for the Link Crew Leader Application google form. Applications are due by Friday, May1, if you would like to be considered. SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS
- The Hasting Athletic Boosters Scholarship is open to student-athletes who have participated in at least one sport all four years of high school, and maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout high school. JOB OPPORTUNITIES
- Centrie Concrete Cutting & Drilling is looking for a Summer Intern to work as a Concrete Sawing and Core Drilling Operator Assistant. This role supports concrete cutting and drilling projects by assisting the main operator with job site tasks, equipment preparation, and site cleanup. The Operator Assistant helps ensure projects run smoothly while following safety protocols and maintaining high-quality service standards. This is a part-time, entry-level position (no experience using slab saws, core drills, and wall saws) with an opportunity to learn a valuable trade. Applicants must be 18 years old at hire. CHOIR
Choir Trip to Disney
The Choirs are going to Disney World! The trip sign ups begin Friday April 24th, and this trip is not to be missed! Three days in the parks, a live performance experience at Disney Springs, and a recording studio experience with Disney music professionals. It's going to be awesome. Two things: you need to be in choir next year, and you can get all the info you need from Mr. Moore. Just stop by the choir room! Don't miss the Disney World Trip 2027! (5/1)

Boys Basketball
If you’re a Hastings student planning to play basketball next year, we’re opening up the gym.
Starting Sunday, May 3rd, we’ll have open gym every Sunday from 5:00–7:00 PM at the high school.
This is for incoming 9th–12th graders for next school year. Hastings students only.
No pressure, just a chance to get shots up, play pick-up, and compete. Bring a friend, bring energy, and be ready to play. Contact Coach Webb with questions. (5/1)
RESULTS from coaches
Golf
The Hastings Boys Golf team won the Hastings Invitational on Thursday with a team score of 317. Daniel Jensen earned medalist honors with an outstanding 69. The Saxons’ second squad also competed, finishing 10th, led by Bronson Elliott and Cayden Cappon with rounds of 94.
JV Softball
On Tuesday, JV split with Parma. Losing game one 13-10 and then handing Parma their first loss of the season in game two 12-5. Autumn Mayack, Lily McFarlan, Rylee Raison, Ella SanInocencio, Molly Cherniawski, and Abby Frazer had multiple hits on the day for the Saxons. SanInocencio was in the circle both games and racked up 17 strikeouts and only 5 walks between the two games.
On Thursday, the girls traveled to Otsego and came away with two wins, 17-6 and 16-6. In game one, Ella SanInocencio picked up the win and struck out 6 batters. Lexus Gorodenski, Autumn Mayack (4), Abby Frazer (2), Lily McFarlan (2), SanInocencio (3), Elsie Haight, Tempy Jiles, and Bella Hildebrandt (2) all had hits for the Saxons. Riley Furrow stole 4 bases. In game two, Lily McFarlan struck out 3 batters and walked none in the win. Molly Cherniawski (2), Mayack, Rylee Raison (3), McFarlan (2), and Taylor Aspinall all had hits. Lexus Gorodenski added some firepower to the Saxon offense with a 2 run HR in the 5th inning to extend the lead. Riley Furrow once again was a problem on the bases, collecting 4 more steals. Saxons are 10-2 and head to Cedar Springs for a tournament Saturday morning.
