Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher conferences will take place Wednesday, October 15 from 4:30-7:30 in the main gym. We look forward to seeing you there!
PTO Meal for Conferences
Please consider helping out the PTO with providing a meal for our teaching staff for parent/teacher conferences on October 15th. See the sign up genius HERE
Yearbooks
24/25 yearbooks will be available for pickup during the first half of the homecoming football game this Friday (10/10) for graduated seniors or families who have not received their orders. We will have extra 24/25 and 23/24 yearbooks for sale at the game as well for $82.
Senior Cap & Gowns

If you have not yet placed your order for your Cap & Gown, the original deadline has passed. However, we have extended the final order date to Wednesday, October 30th.
Please make sure your order is submitted by the deadline to ensure your items arrive in time for graduation.

HHS Musical
Join us for this year's Musical Launch Party to find out this year's musical. The Launch Party is a fun tradition everyone can attend in the HPAC on Monday October 13 at 3:05. The Launch will begin promptly at 3:05 to make sure bus-riding students can get to their buses after the reveal.
Leading up to the Launch Party, you can see the elimination rounds. See posters in the hallways for more info. See you at the eliminations on the Wednesdays leading up to the Launch Party, and the big event itself on Monday Oct 13 at 3:05.
Clubs
SADD Club
The winners are in! for the parking spot painting contest.
The most creative design goes to spot #27- Aidan Smith! Honorable mention is spot #69 Caleb Kramer.
Best Saxon Spirit was taken by Collin Tosava in spot #180! Honorable mention goes to Annabell Kuck in spot # 64.
Funniest design is spot number 43 with Aden Armstrong. Honorable mention goes to #63 and Alexa Decamp.
The Judges' favorite award is spot #127 by Matthew Domenico and Honorable Mention is #19 Gracie WIlson.
Thanks to everyone who participated; there are some amazing spots down there and we had a hard time deciding on the best of the best. Winners can stop by Mrs. Newberry's room on Monday to pick up your prizes!

Class Point Totals
With Hallway decorating, Powederpuff and Monday and Tuesday dress up points included the current standings are:
1st Place: Juniors with 22 points
2nd Place: Freshman with 20 points
3rd Place: Sophomores with 19 points
4th Place: Seniors with 14 points
Keep showing up with your Saxon spirit and earn points for your class!

Class Shirts
Class shirts are available for pickup starting Tuesday, October 7 in Mrs. Kramer's classroom. Make sure to pick yours up before Thursdays class shirts day.
Homecoming Dance Tickets
Dance tickets are now on sale for $15 at both lunches. They will be available until Friday, October 10, with no tickets sold at the door. If you are bringing an outside guest please acquire and return a dance guest form by Thursday, October 9. Guest forms are available at lunches or at Mrs. Peake’s desk and should be turned in to Mrs. Peake in the office. Only students of high school age -20 will be permitted at the dance.
STUDENT SERVICES
Barry County College Fair
The Barry County College Fair is taking place here at Hastings High School on Wednesday, October 22, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm! Over 40 colleges, universities, and the military will be present at this event! Students, be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more information about these post-secondary options! College Application Workshops
Seniors if you need assistance in filling out college applications, writing college essays, scholarship applications or anything college related, join Mr. Cuffman, Ms. Tolles and Ms. Peg in their office, B105, during lunch on Thursdays to get some work done! (10/22)
College Campus Visits
The Counseling Department will be taking students to Aquinas College in Grand Rapids on Thursday October 16th. Students interested in attending this campus tour and admissions presentation must sign-up in the counseling office, B105. (10/14)
RepVisits:
A representative from Davenport University will be at HHS on Friday October 10th. Students wanting to learn more about this college need to sign-up in Naviance. (10/8)
Students interested in learning about Wayne State University should sign-up in Naviance to attend this informational meeting taking place on Monday October 13th. (10/10)
Job Shadow Opportunities
Are you a high school student with an interest in a law or law enforcement career? Job shadow opportunities are available in a local courtroom with Judge Schipper. For more details and to express interest, contact Ms. Tolles or Ms. Denman in the Counseling Department. (10/8)
