"It's time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad and I'd much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure." — Ernie Harwell

Another season of facility upgrades is underway this spring as crews begin remodeling the boys and girls locker rooms at Hastings Middle School!

Our high school students have already been enjoying the newly renovated locker rooms completed last year, and we’re excited to see the transformation at the middle school take shape.

This project is another improvement made possible through the bond generously approved by our district community three years ago. Thank you for continuing to invest in our students and schools!

Tonight, prior to our Board of Education meeting, we had the privilege of recognizing Teresa Heide, Stephen Crozier, Ed Domke, and Nancy Medeiros, who will all be retiring at the end of this school year.

We are deeply grateful for their years of faithful service, dedication, and commitment to our district and community. Their impact will be felt for years to come, and we wish each of them all the best in this next chapter.

Shhhhhhh… you didn’t hear this from us.

If you’ve noticed the spinny flowers “planted” outside of the Middle School, they appeared there thanks to a very special May Day mission. Mrs. Hoke’s kindergarten class from Central Elementary carried on the tradition of sneaking over to spread a little joy and wish everyone a happy May Day!

The weather may still be a little chilly, but hopefully the extra pops of color brighten a few days!

🍎✨ Happy Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, HMS! ✨🍎

This week (and every week), we are incredibly grateful for the amazing teachers and staff who make Hastings Middle School such a special place for our students to learn and grow. 💙💛

Today, Mr. Pratt and Mr. Yonker hit the hallways with a snack cart full of treats and refreshments—just a small way to say THANK YOU for all that you do each and every day! 🍫🥤

Your dedication, passion, and care for our students truly make a difference. We are proud to say we have the best teaching staff in the world, and HMS wouldn’t be the same without you!

👏 Be sure to give a shoutout to a teacher who has made an impact!
