Welcome From the Superintendent

Hello Saxon Families!

The recent passage of the bond is a testament to our collective dedication to providing top-tier educational facilities and resources for our students. This significant investment ensures that we can continue to offer cutting-edge learning environments and opportunities for every student in our district.

Our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) has been a cornerstone of our success, providing targeted interventions and support to ensure that all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The tangible benefits of MTSS are evident in the progress and achievements of our students, and we are excited to continue building on this foundation.

Our state-of-the-art Hastings Performing Arts Center (HPAC) stands as a beacon of our dedication to the arts and a hub for creativity and community engagement. It is a place where students can explore their passions, showcase their talents, and connect with the community in meaningful ways.

The 'What's Your Plan' initiative is another shining example of our commitment to student success. By encouraging students to think critically about their futures and providing them with the tools and guidance needed to achieve their goals, we are fostering a culture of ambition and achievement. We understand that “The Plan” for each student is different and we are here to help make those plans a reality. Whether it is a four year university, community college, the military or the workforce, our Saxons are ready to take on the world after graduation.

Our CTE programs are a true "Field of Dreams" for students. The comprehensive career and technical education tracks at HASS provide students with hands-on, practical experience that prepares them for the workforce and higher education. The emphasis on career readiness is commendable, and the success of these programs is a reflection of the forward-thinking vision and dedication of the HASS team.

Indeed, it has been a "great day to be a Saxon," and I am excited about the future possibilities that lie ahead. Together, we can continue to build on our successes and create even more opportunities for our students to excel. It is through our collective efforts that we will continue to make the Hastings Area School System a point of pride in our community!  I look forward to meeting all of you soon.

Go Saxons!
